Tropical Biome

These are a couple paintings exploring how the unique geology of the islands could create microclimates and lush tropical forests. I wanted to find a way to create a heavy canopy of overgrown stone as the layers of rock delaminate. The vistas and sinkhole-like openings would create controlled areas of interest through light and the moving water. The curving trunks of trees and roots would reinforce the magic lines of energy that shape the landscape.

Thank you to the whole team at Wildlight Entertainment for the opportunity to collaborate and create this world with them.
