The Node Wall was a design from the late age of technology on The Continent. Vesper, a magical nano particle, could interface with sound frequencies. Sound was originally used as a means to explore the creative potential of the substance, to build, manipulate and enhance the environment. As Vesper's steady state became increasingly exploited it grew into a chaotic storm, ravaging and warping the continent. The great Node Wall became the last barrier, the last front against demise. It utilized vast networks of sound amplifiers running frequencies at ultrasonic levels. The structures beyond the wall, as well as its control towers, would track and counter the frequencies of vesper. Without this system, Rivermark would have been warped into the formations you still see on Dustline, the badlands that surround the wall. In the game we find the wall a half broken ruin.
