In this establishing shot I developed the general artistic layout of the play space in collaboration with design and narrative. I also used this shot to begin the larger conversation of how the various structures that were built in the canyon would tell a story of abating tar seeps while digging ever deeper. The incorporation of dams and tar pits blended with Level Design mechanics to create a cohesive world. This would eventually lead to further drawings and diagrams for presenting to Lucasfilm and the team.
